Take one wide photo first
Stand back and capture the whole pile, room, garage, or yard area. A wide photo helps estimate truck space and labor. If the pile is spread out, take one photo from the entrance and another from the opposite side so the full volume is visible.
Add close-ups of bulky items
Large furniture, appliances, heavy debris, and unusual items deserve their own photos. A close-up helps the crew understand size, weight, and whether disassembly may be needed. If an item is built in, connected, or upstairs, include that detail in the message.
Show the path out
Access can matter as much as the pile. Take photos of stairs, elevators, narrow gates, long driveways, side yards, or tight parking areas. This helps the crew plan time, labor, and equipment. It also reduces surprises when the truck arrives.
Include a short note
Photos are powerful, but a few words make them better. Include your city, preferred pickup day, whether items are inside or outside, and anything that might be heavy. A complete request can often be quoted faster and scheduled with more confidence.
